Xmas Dinners
The Engledow Christmas Dinners
These were instituted sometime in the 1960's by my Grandfather - Professor Sir Frank Engledow [FLE aka NK] - to get all of his daughters, their husbands, and grandchildren together every second year - when those overseas could get annual leave.
It is still celebrated today - with the grandchildren, down to the great great grandchildren ! For details on who they all are . . . my brother John runs the family tree web site at https://www.myheritage.com. Note: to see his Engledow siblings, click the symbol just to the top right of FLE's box.
Collected photographs below at the request of one of the great grandchildren.
Favorite Pubs and Hotels
This is my list of the pubs and places I like to stay at or call in when travelling, as well as some nice scenic routes.
Houses
I live in Cathcart, Glasgow, G44. So my local is The Old Smiddy - and it is indeed mostly a great pub - that is apart from the massive number of huge televisions which seriously detract from it.
Vintage Tartan Skirts
Park Davidson's warehouse closed in 2015 due to the demise of the many small shops which they supplied. Although most of the stock was disposed of, the mangement was simply not prepared to let these beautiful tartan skirts be, in effect, dumped. Stock is still being disposed of . . . so not every item below may be on the rail !
